Asoka Mission is a registered society headquartered in a centuries old heritage campus in the Mehrauli sector of New Delhi.

Asoka Mission was established in 1948 by Venerable Dharmavara Mahathera, an eminent Cambodian monk to promote the legacy of Emperor Asoka and propagate the Dhamma in India and throughout the world. Since 1975, the organisation has been headed by Venerable Lama Lobzang.

Hailing from the region of Ladakh, which has centuries old culture of Buddhism, Venerable Lama Lobzang, has been working tirelessly to preserve the Buddhist heritage of India and promote it throughout the world.
